Urbanizing Mountains

This design studio started with a study on the possible urbanization of the Lebanese mountains and the creation of a themed public park along the neglected valleys of these mountains. After an analysis of urbanization at a national scale, I eventually zoomed to the architectural scale. As a unifying theme, I chose mountain biking as the park’s theme and then integrated into the park and its architectural component. Through this studio and its corresponding workshop, the design process was guided by digital tools such as ArcGIS and Grasshopper 3D.
